About This Pub
Oh, Rileys in Solihull is just what you need for a fun-filled evening with your crowd – it's got this brilliant mix of cue sports, darts, and table tennis that keeps things entertaining, and they've nailed the live sports screening with loads of TVs showing the big matches. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone has a good time, which really adds to the welcoming feel. It's spot on for groups looking to let off steam, whether it's a casual meet-up or something more organised like a party. On the flip side, a few have mentioned the food falling short – think small servings or dishes that don't quite live up to the hype – so you might want to grab a proper meal elsewhere and just pop in for the games and drinks. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a balanced night out in the West Midlands, with plenty of positives to outweigh the minor niggles, but it's worth going in with an open mind for the full experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
Fantastic selection of games like pool, snooker, and darts – it's a proper haven for anyone wanting a competitive night out with mates
-
Brilliant for catching live sports on plenty of TV screens, with coverage of teams like Aston Villa and Birmingham City – makes you feel right in the thick of it
-
Friendly staff who go the extra mile, as shared in reviews, creating a welcoming vibe that's perfect for a casual get-together
-
Spacious and clean setup with ample room to move around, ideal for groups or even hosting events like stag dos or team nights
-
Great location in Solihull town centre, easy to get to by bus or car, and it's open most of the day for a relaxed or lively session
Cons
-
Food can be a bit disappointing, with some reviews mentioning it wasn't up to scratch – like small portions or underwhelming flavours, so you might want to manage expectations
-
It gets pretty busy at times, which means you should probably book ahead to avoid missing out on a table or spot
-
Not every visit is flawless, as a couple of folks noted issues with things like portion sizes for younger visitors, which could put a dampener on family outings

Great place for fun game activities, ample space, live sports streaming and lovely food and drinks.
Awesome time in Riley’s, staff was really nice. Pool house was clean and well setup. and special mention to a member staff called Lewis for a pleasant chat. Would highly recommend 👏🏼
Hi, all at Riley's!!. The staff was amazing last night, they was so busy. And catered for everybody. Well done all 👏.
We needed to change tables last night to a match table 21 / we love playing American pool.
Which had been re-clothed. And our game is so much better now, on this table.
We like playing on table 13, but the cloth as worn out now, and would be grateful if you could renewed it. Hopefully in the future it can be great, thank you.
Have a good Easter all, and see you next week 🎱.
Thank you for your great service!!.
Attended last night for a catch up with the lads. First impressions was a good friendly atmosphere, it seems pretty busy too so worth booking. We had some food here and I have to be honest and say I wouldn’t order food here again….it wasn’t very good at all but that’s my only drawback. Our waitress Amber was fantastic and kept our drinks topped up and was really friendly and confident. The manager here is also a top lad, no drama friendly and helpful, I’m not sure about the barman’s name with the neck tattoo but he was also worth a mention as he was great with our group. All in all a pleasant night out with zero drama.
Attended today with my 8 year old just after midday, wasn’t terribly busy as it had just opened, my child was hungry so order him some southern fried strips and I ordered the sweet potato fries with cheese, was shocked about the quantity offered a small skillet bowl and the melted cheese on top was terrible at a cost of approx £5. Not the first time the food here has been shockingly bad.
