About This Pub
Ah, the Pup & Duckling – it's one of those hidden gems in Solihull that really hits the spot if you're into your real ales and ciders. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, they've got this cracking range of brews from smaller outfits, so you're always discovering something fresh, whether it's a light pale ale or a hearty stout. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a natter and sharing tips on what to order, which makes the whole experience feel personal and fun. Prices are spot on too, won't leave you out of pocket for a good night out. On the flip side, it's only open midweek through to the weekend, so if you're fancying a Monday pint, you'll be out of luck, and parking can be a faff with just a handful of spaces. Still, it's a top spot for a relaxed evening with mates, and those awards it's racked up show it's doing something right. All in all, I'd say it's worth popping in if you're in the area – just go with the flow and you'll have a great time.

What a gem! First time after meaning to go for ages. Really friendly bar staff and great prices (it's not all just beer or cider)!
Excellent pub just expanding upstairs. Brilliant beer and awarded solihull pub of the year by Camra
A very welcoming micro pub, with friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Serving a range of cask ales and ciders, alongside a good selection of bottled beers, from traditional Belgium beers to more unusual American ales.
A limited number of parking spaces, but plenty of roadside parking available.
The heart of Solihull Real ale. Now run by Geoff, Sue and Tracey since Covid. This micro pub is hard to beat. The times CAMRA pub of the year. 4-6 real and 2 cask ales that are constantly changing week on week, so you will always get to try something new each visit. Plus cider, gin and vodka. A friendly welcome whether on your own or in a group, all are welcome. Dogs allowed.
Visited with my partner and dog on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We both loved the cider we had, and will definitely been returning to try their small batch gin!
