About This Pub
Ah, the Queen of Spades – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a breath of fresh air when you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its warm, inviting atmosphere and staff who are always up for a chat, making you feel right at home from the get-go. The Sunday dinners and carvery are something else; folks rave about how tasty and well-put-together they are, perfect for rounding off the week without spending a fortune. It's also got that family-friendly edge with events like B.O.B.I. that bring people together, and the location's spot on for a quick stop. On the flip side, though, it's a shame there's no website or proper online setup, which might leave you scratching your head if you're trying to plan ahead or check for any updates. Plus, the operating hours listed seem a bit muddled, so you might want to confirm before popping in for an evening pint. All in all, it's a solid spot with heaps of heart, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after good food, good company, and that genuine pub feel – just go in with realistic expectations about the digital side of things.
