About This Pub

You know, chatting about the Premier Inn in Stourbridge, it's got that dependable hotel vibe that's just right for a quick trip or work stay – think clean rooms with those lovely comfy beds that make you sink right in, and it's smack in the middle of things, so you're never far from the action in the town centre. The restaurant's a highlight too; the food's spot on with a welcoming atmosphere, and I've heard great things about the breakfast buffet, which feels like good value in a fresh setting. Free parking is always a winner, especially if you're zipping over from nearby attractions. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – the place can look a bit tired and dated, which might dampen the spirits, and a few interactions with staff, like at reception, haven't been as cheerful as you'd hope, making the welcome feel a smidge off. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 4.2, it's clear most folks find the pros outweigh the cons, so if you're after somewhere straightforward and practical, it's worth a punt, just keep expectations realistic for that homely touch.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The location is spot on, just a short walk from the town centre, bus, and train station, making it dead convenient for exploring Stourbridge.
  • Rooms are generally clean and comfortable, with super-comfy beds and plenty of hot water – perfect for a good night's kip after a day out.
  • Free parking on site is a real bonus, especially if you're driving in from places like the West Midlands Safari Park.
  • The restaurant serves up excellent food with a lovely atmosphere, and some staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful, which really makes you feel welcome.
  • Breakfast is a solid option, with a buffet that's good value and served in a modern setting.
Cons
  • The hotel's appearance can feel a bit shabby and drab, which takes away from the overall experience even if the rooms are clean.
  • Some staff, like the receptionist, might not give the warmest welcome, which can set a disappointing tone right from the start.
  • Little things like the lack of a handheld shower head might not sound like much, but they can make everyday conveniences a tad frustrating.
  • Despite the good bits, the place has a mixed feel – it's functional but doesn't quite wow you with that extra polish you'd hope for.

Pretty good premier inn, location is only a few minutes walk from the town centre, bus and train station (Stourbridge Town). Room was clean and comfortable and as I was down the end of a corridor very quiet too. Plenty of hot water and good pressure but no handheld shower head, just a fixed rainforest type head. Look good but actually impractical for rinsing off. The reception staff are friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Overall an excellent one night stay.

Great stay, shame about the welcome on arrival. Spacious room for a family of three. Fantastic restaurant, food was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful in the restaurant. The only thing that ruined our stay was the receptionist manner in welcoming us to this premier Inn. This review would of been five stars but let down by some members of staff, what a shame.

Everything in the room worked, the shower was lovely and the bathroom clean. Bed was so comfortable and the bedding glowed white! It's just a shame that the rooms and the hotel looks shabby and drab. Location wise, excellent for the town centre. Free parking for 24 hours and then we only paid a couple of £ extra to stay on there while we hit the shopping centre! I'd stay there again if I come to Stourbridge in the future, cheap and handy.

Excellent location, plenty of free parking. Good heating as very cold weather, which is controlled in the bedroom. Big bed, clean white sheets, plenty of hot water, despite the hotel being full. Buffet breakfast good value for menu in a seperate modern venue.
