About This Pub

Ah, the Lambton Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper old favourite, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant range of real ales and beers that folks rave about, and the prices are spot on, so you won't break the bank for a good night out. Picture yourself settling in by a roaring log fire on a winter's evening, chatting away with your mates in a quiet, relaxed setting – it's got that classic English pub charm with interesting decor and some decent music playing in the background. The staff sound like absolute stars, always on hand and making sure everyone feels right at home, and it's even dog-friendly, which is a nice touch if you're popping in with your four-legged pal. But, fair's fair, it looks like the place might be shut up for now, which is a bit of a letdown, and with no fresh reviews lately, it's hard to say if it's still as brilliant as it was. Still, if it reopens, I'd definitely give it a go – it's got that homely feel that makes you want to linger for another round.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The selection of real ales and beers is fantastic, with plenty of choices to suit different tastes.
  • Prices are excellent, making it a budget-friendly spot for a pint or two.
  • It's got a lovely cosy atmosphere with a blazing log fire, perfect for a chat with mates on a chilly evening.
  • The staff are really attentive and friendly, adding to that warm, welcoming vibe.
  • It's a proper traditional English pub with interesting decor, good music, and even allows well-behaved dogs – ideal if you're out with your furry friend.
Cons
  • It seems to be closed at the moment, which is a shame as it might put a dampener on plans for a visit.
  • There's not much in the way of recent feedback, with the latest reviews dating back a bit, so it's hard to know if things have changed.
  • No website or online presence to speak of, which makes it tricky to check opening times or get more details before heading out.
