About This Pub

Ah, the International Bar – it's one of those places that just warms your heart from the moment you step in. Folks are buzzing about the Guinness, calling it the best they've ever had, and you can tell the family behind it, who've been running the show for five generations, really put their all into making it special. The atmosphere is pure traditional Irish charm, with great banter, friendly faces, and a setup that includes a snug front bar, a longer lounge, and a quaint beer garden at the back – perfect for a lazy afternoon tipple. With a stellar 4.7 rating from the crowd, it's clear this spot excels at delivering that authentic pub experience we all crave. On the flip side, though, it's a bit of a mystery without any operating hours or a website to check, so you might end up playing it by ear, and if space is an issue or you're hoping for some grub, it could fall short. All in all, if you're after a genuine, fun night out with top-notch drinks and a welcoming vibe, this one's worth seeking out – just go in with realistic expectations and you'll likely have a brilliant time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The Guinness here is absolutely top-notch – reviewers rave it's the best they've ever tasted, making it a must-try for any ale enthusiast.
  • It's a family-run gem that's been going strong for five generations, with the owners creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like chatting with old friends.
  • The traditional Irish pub vibe is spot on, offering great craic, a cosy front bar, a lounge area, and even a little beer garden out back for a relaxed pint.
  • Everyone mentions the friendly locals and excellent service, which really adds to the fun and makes every visit feel special.
Cons
  • There aren't any specific operating hours listed, so you might have to pop by or give them a ring to avoid disappointment.
  • No website or online presence means it's a bit tricky to get more details beforehand – it's one of those hidden treasures you discover the old-school way.
  • The bar is on the smaller side, which is charming but could feel a tad cramped if it gets busy, and there's not much chat about food options, so it might not suit if you're after a meal.

Best pint of Guinness I have ever had. Called to check it out as I was viewing a house nearby. No score for food, never tried it. This bar is a real gem, and Mags is absolutely gorgeous.

Family run traditional bar with great Guinness. Small front bar with longer lounge area and a little beer garden area yo rear. Owners are usually serving and have a great atmosphere either good relationships with the customers. Very friendly old bar.
