About This Pub
Oh, House of Hop in Darlington is just the ticket if you're after a proper cosy spot for a drink with mates. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant atmosphere that's both inviting and comfortable, with cool industrial vibes that make it stand out. The staff sound like absolute gems, always ready with a smile and a recommendation, which really makes you feel looked after. And the drinks? Well, they've nailed it with a great mix of cask and keg beers, plus some solid non-alcoholic choices for anyone driving or taking it easy. Those little extras, like games and sweets on the tables, add a fun twist that keeps things light-hearted. On the flip side, it's a pity they don't have any food on offer, so you might need to grab a bite elsewhere before heading in, and it'd be handy if they introduced beer tasting flights to make exploring the options even easier. The hours can be a bit all over the place too, so double-check before you go. All in all, it's a gem of a place with high marks from the crowd, but with a few tweaks, it could be even better – definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

With a solid 4.7 rating from loads of folks, it's clear this place knows how to keep people coming back for more.
Cons
-
It would be nice if they offered some food options, as it's a bit of a shame to just have drinks without a bite to go with it.

No tasting flights for the beers means you might miss out on sampling a few without committing to a full pint.
-
The opening hours seem a tad inconsistent, which could make it tricky to plan a visit, especially if you're popping in on a whim.

Great place to have a drink, nice staff and lovely atmosphere.
Popped in on our way for a curry. The atmosphere was great, the staff were really nice and as someone who's teetotal, there was a great selection of non alcoholic drinks.
Brilliant bar, cool industrial decor and plenty of selection for a delicious drink.
Games like cards & dominos on each table along with a bowl of sweets!
Would 100% recommend.
Lovely little bar, with friendly service and a mix of cask and keg. Sweets at tables always a bonus, with the environment feeling inviting and comfortable.
New craft beer venue which had a Tiny Rebel tap takeover on when we visited. Good range of cask and keg beers all in great condition. Cosy and warm. It would be nice to see some food on offer and tasting flights for the beers. Looking forward to visiting again.
