About This Pub

Ah, Hideout in Warrington – it's one of those places that really grows on you once you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the cocktails are a standout; they're cleverly crafted and full of that tropical flair that makes you feel like you're on holiday, even on a rainy English evening. The decor is just lovely, with a spacious setup that's great for groups or even just chilling with a drink, and it's got this welcoming energy that encourages a bit of fun, whether that's through their live music sessions or the heated outdoor terrace for those balmy nights. It's clear from the reviews that folks love the events – think open mic Thursdays or live DJs on the weekends – which add a real spark to the place. But, let's be honest, it's not without its quirks; prices can add up quicker than you'd expect, and while the staff are capable of being brilliant, they might not always strike up a chat, leaving things feeling a smidge reserved at times. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 4.4, it's got that winning combination of good drinks and good times that keeps people coming back. If you're after a spot for a laid-back catch-up or a lively do, I'd say give it a go – just keep in mind it might not be the cheapest or the chattiest option out there.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The cocktails are absolutely spot on – they're refreshingly unique and really hit the mark for a fun night out.
  • The atmosphere is brilliant, with cute decorations, a spacious layout that's perfect for snapping photos, and a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger.
  • They've got a great lineup of events like live music, open mic nights, and quiz evenings, which add a lively touch and keep things entertaining.
  • The outdoor terrace is a real winner – it's covered, heated, and ideal for catching up with mates while the sun sets.
  • Service can be top-notch when it's good, with staff going the extra mile to make occasions special, like weddings or casual visits.
Cons
  • It can feel a bit pricey, so you might want to budget accordingly if you're planning a big night.
  • Some folks have mentioned the staff aren't always the chattiest, which could make the place seem a tad impersonal if you're flying solo.
  • Events like the open mic nights might not suit everyone – they can be hit or miss depending on what you're in the mood for.
  • It might be quiet on certain evenings, so if you're after a buzzing crowd every time, it could disappoint.

It's so deceiving from the front but this bar is lovely. We went on a Thursday night so was very quiet they had a live singer on who was really good. The bar has a large terrace at the back with a big screen. The cocktails were so good.

We can’t thank Hideout enough for making our wedding celebration so amazing. A special thanks to James, Chloe, Bailey and the rest of the staff who went that extra mile to ensure that we had the best wedding party. Everything we asked for was delivered, including other extra touches that we didn’t think off. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and really wanted us to have the best time, we can’t recommend Hideout enough. Fantastic wedding venue, also a great place to relax and have a few drinks.
