I've got to say, it's one of those places that just draws you in with its character; imagine popping into what used to be a bank and finding this cosy, eclectic haven with brilliant decor that mixes things up nicely. The drinks selection is spot on, and there's always that pool table for a laugh, plus live music and DJs that can turn an ordinary evening into something memorable. The staff are an absolute treat, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's looked after, which really adds to the welcoming feel – and it's great that they welcome dogs too, so you don't have to leave your four-legged friend at home. On the flip side, though, it's not always buzzing; I've heard it can be a bit subdued on weekdays, which might not hit the mark if you're craving a packed house. Plus, some of the seats are a bit worn and not as comfortable as you'd hope, and if you're eyeing that pool table, you might end up queuing for it. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out, whether it's for a special occasion or just a relaxed pint, but it's worth checking the mood before you head down to make the most of it.
