About This Pub
You know, I've got to say, popping into Harvester George Stephenson in Walsall feels like a breath of fresh air for a casual get-together. The staff really stand out; they're so kind and attentive, like that server Vicki who made one visit feel extra special with her recommendations and friendly chat – it's those little touches that turn a meal into a memorable experience. The food is spot on too, with juicy rotisserie chicken and grilled dishes that hit the spot, plus that unlimited salad bar that's always fresh and packed with options, making it easy to please everyone in the group. It's brilliantly set up for families, with a dedicated kids' menu and a spacious, modern layout that's clean and inviting, so you can unwind after exploring places like Walsall Arboretum. On the flip side, being part of a chain means it lacks a bit of that unique, cosy pub character you might crave, and it can get busy, leading to a wait or two, which isn't ideal if you're in a rush. Prices are moderate, which is fair for what you get, but if you're after something more posh, it might not quite satisfy. All in all, it's a solid spot for a reliable, enjoyable meal – I'd recommend giving it a go if you're in the area, especially for a laid-back lunch or dinner with friends.
Pros and Cons
Pros

-
The food is spot on, with tasty rotisserie chicken, grilled dishes, and that famous unlimited salad bar that's fresh and full of options for everyone.

-
Convenient location near Walsall attractions and easy to reach, plus they offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so it's versatile for any time of day.
Cons
-
As a chain restaurant, it can feel a tad generic at times, missing that unique local charm you might find in an independent pub.
-
With its popularity, it might get a bit crowded during peak hours, which could mean waits for tables or service, even if the staff do their best.
-
The moderate pricing is fair, but if you're after something a bit more upscale or fancy, it might not quite hit the mark for a special occasion.
-
While the menu has great variety including veggie and vegan choices, some might find the options a little predictable compared to more adventurous spots.

We had Vicki serving us, she was wonderful!!! I will definitely go back there again just because of her. She was kind, funny, very informative, and very attentive . She felt more like a friend than anything else. We were so happy with her service… and recommendations. Such a lovely lady. The food was great too.
We’ve been to this harvester multiple times, every single time the service is immaculate. The staff are so friendly and approachable, and always go the extra mile. Special mention to Vikki, for making us feel welcome and to Dan who cooked our food! Five star service👍
Amie made us feel very welcome and so kind making sure everything was ok.
Would definitely come again thank you so much Amie!
Food was lovely and didn’t have to wait long at all
One of the best Harvester restaurants we've eaten at. The decor and layout is really modern, clean and looks relatively recently decorated. Very spacious and lots of different places to sit. Food was quick to come out and was yummy.
Visited last Thursday for lunch. Arrived around 12.30. The restaurant was fairly quiet with a few tables of people around us. We were warmly welcomed and seated quickly. Ordered the ultimate mixed grill and the barbacoa burger which then comes with the salad bar starter. The salad was fresh as always and completely stocked. Always enjoy the salad starter from Harvester, great idea. We did have an issue with the main which arrived not hot but I must admit the restaurant immediately rectified and provided fresh new meals. The meals were of fantastic quality. All of the mixed grill meats were cooked and seasoned perfectly, no fatty cheap cuts and all tender and moist. The burger as all the harvester burgers are, are delicious, maybe on the pricey side but you are always guaranteed enjoyment. The restaurant even adjusted the bill for the food issue which wasn't expected but was a welcome end to a nice meal out
