About This Pub

Ah, Fuggles Chapter One – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its stylish interior and that cosy, intimate atmosphere, perfect for sinking into a comfy seat with a top-notch gin or beer in hand. The staff are gems, always up for a chat and happy to recommend something new, which makes you feel right at ease, especially if you've got your dog along for the outing. And let's not forget the occasional live music or the food vans popping up outside – it's those little extras that can make an evening out memorable. But, honestly, it's not all smooth sailing; I've heard from a few mates that things can get a bit lively with some rowdy crowds, leading to scenes that feel more intimidating than fun, and complaints about vaping indoors or staff not quite hitting the mark on professionalism have cropped up too. With it only open a handful of days, you might find yourself planning around that, and recent feedback suggests it's had some off nights. Still, if you're up for giving it a go, it's worth a visit for the highs, just keep an eye on the vibe when you arrive – after all, a good pub night is all about that balance!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely lovely – it's got this beautiful, stylish interior that's perfect for relaxing with a drink.
  • They've got a fantastic selection of gins and beers; it's a real treat for anyone who appreciates a good pint or a gin and tonic.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming; they'll go out of their way to make you feel at home, even recommending drinks and letting you try before you buy.
  • It's got an intimate, cosy feel that's just right for a catch-up with mates, and it's super dog-friendly too, which is a big plus if you're out with your furry friend.
  • There are nice touches like live music on occasion and external food options, such as a pizza van or burrito van, to keep things interesting.
Cons
  • There have been some reports of rowdy behaviour, like groups getting too boisterous and even smashing glasses, which can make the place feel unsafe at times.
  • A few folks have mentioned people vaping inside, which really puts a damper on the experience and makes it less enjoyable.
  • The staff have been described as poorly dressed and unprofessional in some reviews, which isn't ideal when you're hoping for a polished visit.
  • It only seems to be open a few days a week, with fairly limited hours, so it might not be the go-to spot if you're looking for somewhere reliable every evening.
  • Recent visits have left some feeling underwhelmed, with one person mentioning they had to leave after just one drink due to the overall vibe.

Bad experience, felt unsafe and had to leave. Full of louts, screaming, very drunk and smashing glasses.

People vaping in the pub really off putting. Poorly dressed waiting staff. Unprofessional all round. Only positive was the live music. We left after 1 drink.

Fantastic place!! Beautiful and stylish interior to relax in, with an array of amazing Gins and Beers. An extremely warm welcome is given from the amazing staff who are simply first class. Cannot recommend this gem of a place highly enough.

Love the intimate feel and atmosphere of this place. Really friendly and welcoming staff, recommended a beer and let me have a taste last time because I didn't know what I wanted. We visited on a Thursday evening when the pizza van was there, bloody lovely, nip outside, order, it gets brought in to you . No other food available apart from this on a Thursday night so it does get busy. Can't wait for my next visit !

Fantastic and upscale bar just outside of Worksop Town centre. Small but very inviting, and most importantly for us, very dog friendly. They do not offer food but there is a burrito van that visits on a Friday /Saturday evening. I recommend getting there early to find a seat. We got there around 2pm on a Saturday and it was empty. By 4 it was full. Whenever we visit Worksop in the future, Fuggles will be one of our first ports of call.
