About This Pub
Ah, the Flying Horse Hotel, what a lovely spot it is! From the moment you step in, you're greeted by this stunning historic building that's been around since 1691, and it's got that warm, inviting vibe with a real fire crackling away. The food's a standout – think traditional homemade dishes packed with flavour, all sourced locally, and at prices that won't break the bank. Pair that with their award-winning range of real ales and ciders, and you've got yourself a proper treat for any beer lover. Then there's the entertainment; it's buzzing with live music most nights and hosts some cracking events like the Feel Good Festival, which brings in big names and adds to the excitement. The staff are just brilliant, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly. On the flip side, it does get pretty lively at times, so if you're in the mood for a quiet pint, it might not be the best choice. And with those slightly confusing opening hours, it's a good idea to check ahead. All in all, it's a fantastic place for a get-together with friends, offering great value and a real sense of community – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area!

Being in the heart of Rochdale, it might feel a tad out of the way if you're not local, though that's part of its charm for those who venture out.

First time visiting the Flying Horse and we were blown away. The building is beautiful, windows pristine, always a good sign!
My lasagne was delicious. We sat outside in the glorious sunshine, what's not to love!
My better half and I spent a day in Rochdale & spotted the Flying Horse whilst admiring the Town Hall as it was lunchtime we ventured in. We were met with a warm Lancashire welcome and a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. There are plenty of tables available & the food was good quality, hot & served with a smile. Although the staff are quite young they are a credit to the owner, polite, well presented & quick witted. The menu is traditional pub food with a few local variations & specials, once again very good value. The exterior of the building is beautiful and the interior has kept in line with tradition. As it was a pleasant day we moved outside for a second drink. I would definitely visit again if I,m in the area.
Not the 1st time being in here ..but our first time ordering a quick snack, .. at 7:56 I went to the bar and asked what time they stop serving food 8:00pm sir.. oh it’s ok then.. bar staff .. you’ve got 3 minutes still .. obviously I ordered loaded fries which were amazing.. how good is that for service. Most establishments would say sorry you’re too late 😁
The flying horse in Rochdale is one of the best pubs I've ever been in.
That is a statement I never foresaw myself saying until I visited today. It is magnificent! I love it and that's all I need to say.
Great atmosphere. Real fire. Lots of choice with the real ales. Food lovely and very good value.
