About This Pub
You know, when I think about the Flying Horse, it's got that classic British pub charm that's just right for a casual get-together with mates. The affordable prices are a real winner – tucking into their specials for a tenner feels like a treat without breaking the bank, and they've got a good selection of pub grub that often hits the mark, like those tasty wings and burgers that leave you feeling chuffed. I love how they've set it up for sports fans, with live fixtures and a buzzing atmosphere that makes watching the game feel like a proper event. Plus, the extra touches like EV charging and a car park make it dead handy if you're nipping in from further afield. On the other hand, it's not all plain sailing; I've heard a few tales of food not quite living up to expectations, with some reviews mentioning dry meals or items suddenly off the menu, which can be a bit frustrating after you've settled in. And let's be honest, the area's got a bit of a rough edge that might put some off, especially if you're after something a tad more refined. Still, if you're up for good value and a laid-back vibe, it's worth giving it a go – just keep your expectations in check and you'll likely have a decent time.

We had a good experience at this restaurant, our main reason for going here was the fact they had rapid electric car chargers available so thought we would top our car up before parking it at the airport parking the next day as we were going on holiday.
The restaurant was very clean with plenty of staff and a good environment to be around, food service was quick and the food was good too.
The reason I scored low on service was simply because I upgraded to a steak sauce on my mixed grill which was an extra cost, and when the food came out they had forgotten it, so I went to the bar and told them to which they said they would get it over to me right away, I waited and in the end finished my meal before any sauce had come, afterwards I went back to the bar and told them I still haven’t received the sauce and I had finished my food now.
In fairness to the team, they refunded me quickly and was very sorry but it was a shame they forgot even after me telling them.
The children’s park outside was also very good, it was secure with good equipment and our son really enjoyed it.
Great food , great service Kev was absolutely fantastic , the atmosphere was calming really great music . The food was really filling I HIGHLY recommend this place!!
Good was tasty. We got the chicken skewers and fish and chips for our mains, which tasted amazing. We got wings and boneless strips for the start. Staff getting food to the table were very nice and friendly, however Staff member placing our order kept on trying to end the order and wouldn't let us finish which felt disrespectful. I understand it can get busy, but maybe just asking "is that everything" at the end may be nicer. But pub vibes were very good overall. There is small park for kids, you can see the airplane and there is a lot of choices in rhe menu. Overall I had fun and my experience was amazing.
Gluten free menu lookednok, albeit limited, however most of the items I asked for were not available. Eventually ended up with just a burger and chips. Sadly the driest burger ever, garnish was appealing and the bun was like a rock.
My husband order the cluck starter, only after paying, it sold out, so it had to be changed. In return a plate of beige. I couldn't share this (I could have had the cheese on the 1st one, so paid extra for another Gluten free rock, I mean roll). His burger was slightly better than mine, and I did get bun envy of his soft fluffy brioche bun.
The positives were the staff, the chap taking my order was helpful and apologetic and the lady who brought the food overhead the pointlessness of my additional roll, so offered a refund.
All in all, it was one of the most disappointing meals I've had out, which is a shame because it could be lovely.
Exactly what you get on the tin... cheap prices for cheap low quality food. In a very rough part of town which is Wythenshawe and full of rough Wythenshawe families... it's a bit of a stereotyping review but this place fits the stereotype. Rough and tacky
