About This Pub
Ah, the Fishermans Arms, or 'The Fish' as the regulars call it – it's such a lovely little spot in Hartlepool that really captures the essence of a proper British pub. From what I've gathered from chats with others who've been, the place does wonders with its warm, welcoming feel where you can just unwind over a pint without any noisy distractions. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat, and they've nailed the drinks selection with those changing real ales that keep things fresh and exciting. Then there's the events – live music on Saturdays, open mic Tuesdays, and a quiz night on Sundays – it's all about supporting local talent and having a laugh, which adds so much to the experience. It's spot-on for dog lovers too, as you can bring your furry friend along for the ride. On the flip side, though, it's a shame it's closed mid-week on Mondays and Wednesdays, and with doors not opening until 3pm, it might not suit if you're fancying an earlier tipple. Still, if you're in the area and after an authentic pub vibe with great company and brews, it's well worth popping in – you'd be hard-pressed not to have a good time!

Great pub with friendly staff and locals. Also great beers and dog friendly. Recommended
Awesome pub with friendly staff and regular customers and a fine selection of real ales changing regularly.
Wow. Stumbled upon this place on Saturday evening. Live music, an incredibly warm and friendly welcome, good selection of drinks including alcohol free options, local history and a great atmosphere. Love the Headland and will be back. Loved the pub so much my wife bought a T shirt. Thanks for a great night.
Really friendly landlords. Had a good chat with them and they gave me some Beer Pump Clips which made me really happy. Spent the whole night in there and had a lovely time. Will definitely be going back.
Traditional English pub and all the better for it! Gable Wall has had the recent addition of a stunning new mural depicting a traditional Fisher woman from Hartlepool fishing community history. Well worth a visit ;)
