About This Pub
Ah, Earlsheaton Central Working Men's Club – it's one of those places that feels like a proper local haunt in Dewsbury, where you can pop in for a quiet midweek pint or get stuck into the weekend vibes with live bands and all sorts of events. I've got to say, the positives really shine through; the big, welcoming rooms make it ideal for catching up with mates or even booking for a special do, and at such reasonable prices, it's easy to see why it's got such a decent overall rating. Folks have shared some heartwarming stories, like meeting someone special there, which just adds to that community feel. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing – the parking fines are a bit of a nightmare, with cameras catching you out even when you've done the right thing, and that could easily sour an otherwise good evening. Then there's the odd inconsistency with drink prices and a few reports of staff not being the friendliest, especially under pressure, which might leave you feeling a tad underwhelmed. All in all, if you're up for a traditional social club experience with some lively entertainment, it's worth a go, but I'd recommend sorting out the parking in advance and keeping expectations realistic for service – it's got that classic charm, but like any spot, it's got its quirks.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is spot on for a good night out, with live bands and entertainment every Saturday that really gets the crowd going.
-
It's got spacious rooms that make it feel welcoming and perfect for a casual get-together or even hosting events.
-
Drinks are inexpensive, which is always a plus when you're out for a pint without breaking the bank.
-
From what folks say, there are some lovely staff members who make the experience more enjoyable.
Cons
-
Parking can be a right hassle with ANPR cameras dishing out fines, even if you've registered your details, which might put a dampener on your visit.
-
Pricing for drinks isn't always consistent, leading to confusion and a bit of frustration at the bar.
-
Some staff can come across as rude or unhelpful, especially when it's busy, which takes away from the fun.
-
It's a shame it's not claimed by the owners, as that might mean things like the website or parking issues aren't sorted as quickly as they could be.

For better or worse met my lass here & almost never made the first move, it's almost a pride thing to have in dewsbury!
Nice big rooms ,one nice person on staff katelyn sorry if didn't spell it right, only one thing wrong is don't park in car park or you'll get a parking ticket. Even when you book in with reg.numbers.
Called in for a pint midweek. Got a parking charge for £100. Got told ANPR camers active mon-Fri. Good way to lose business.
Every night is a good night, from a quiet drink during the week, to big bands like Eton Rifles on a weekend. Entertainment every Saturday. Great place to go, with concert room available for all occasions.
Different bar staff charged different prices for drinks. 2 tonic waters were £3 75 this does that work? £3.75 doesn't divide by 2 so how much was one? Also it doesn't cost anything to smile or speak when being served yes it was busy but one particular barmaid was rude and unpleasant to be served by. The club itself is lovely. Not many WMCs left so great to see it doing so well
