About This Pub

Ah, The Leggers Inn in Dewsbury is one of those pubs that just draws you in with its warm, inviting feel – you know, the kind where you end up staying for another round. The staff are absolute stars, always on hand with a smile and lightning-fast service, which really makes the place shine. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, the new cocktails are a proper delight, and the food, when it's on form, is spot on – think hearty steaks and massive loaded fries that leave you satisfied. It's brilliant for families or if you're out with the dog, and that beer garden is a gem on a sunny day. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses; there have been a few grumbles about the food not quite hitting the mark sometimes, like burnt bits that spoiled the meal and led to refunds. Still, with such a strong overall vibe and mostly glowing feedback, I'd say it's well worth popping in for a pint and a chat – just maybe keep a backup plan for dinner if you're feeling peckish.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always making you feel welcome and right at home.
  • The atmosphere is spot on – welcoming locals and a lovely beer garden that's a real sun trap for soaking up the rays.
  • The food and drinks are generally a treat, with new cocktails and dishes like amazing steaks and loaded fries that hit the spot.
  • It's super dog-friendly and family-oriented, making it a great spot for a relaxed get-together with loved ones.
Cons
  • Food quality can be hit or miss, with some reports of burnt dishes that needed a refund, which is a bit disappointing.
  • There might be occasional kitchen slip-ups, so it's worth keeping expectations in check for consistency.

The bar staff are extremely nice and friendly. The food has gone down hill since the last time I came. Had to get a refund which I dont normally do. Food was burnt. I got a chicken gyros which wasn't wrapped and looked slapped on a plate. The kids chicken nuggets were over cooked and the sticky toffee pudding was that hard we couldn't get the spoon in. I can't thank the bar staff for how helpful they were.

Nice place. Great staff & lovely food. Small menu bolstered by a Specials Board, Soups Board & Dessert Board. The lady serving was like lightning ⚡️and was very attentive & nothing was too much trouble. Lovely food. The steaks are amazing & the Loaded Fries were massive & packed with meat 🍖 😋
