About This Pub
Ah, Casa Med Tapas Bar in Bromsgrove – it's one of those places that really warms you up with its Mediterranean vibes. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the food is mostly a delight, with fresh, home-cooked tapas that's full of flavour and beautifully presented, especially if you're partial to a good sangria or some classic dishes. The staff are an absolute highlight, always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home, whether it's a quick bite or a special occasion. It's got that cosy, unique feel that's just inviting for a get-together with mates. On the flip side, though, some bits aren't perfect – a few reviewers mentioned that certain dishes seemed expensive for what you get, and the menu can feel a bit all over the place at times, leading to the odd disappointment. Overall, it's a solid choice for a night out, but I'd say go in with an open mind and maybe stick to the crowd-pleasers to make the most of it. It's got that high rating for a reason, but like any spot, it's not flawless.
Pros and Cons

-
Service is spot-on, with friendly and attentive staff who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, just like chatting with old mates.
-
It's got a charming and unique atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed night out or celebrating with friends in the heart of Bromsgrove.
Cons
-
Some dishes can feel a bit overpriced and not quite worth it, like the pork belly that didn't live up to expectations for a few folks.
-
The menu might come across as a tad disjointed or inconsistent, with not every item hitting the mark every time.
-
Not all experiences are five-star; a couple of visits were just okay, so it might not wow you on every go-round.

It was my second time going but I don't think I'd rush back again.
The best part about the meal was the sangria.
Food was okay, no particular stand out dishes, some of the dishes were quite expensive and seemed quite poor value, especially the pork belly!
Menu was a bit disjointed as there were some odd non Mediterranean dishes such as wasabi peas and peri peri chicken. I also felt it was a bit limited as there wasn't a great deal of selection.
Service wasn't particularly attentive, we only had the opportunity to order one drink, we did have the opportunity to order more tapas... But only when our food had literally just arrived and we'd not eaten any yet. There was no check back after this.
In terms of experience, it wasn't exactly welcoming, the plethora of rules that you have to adhere to when booking meant that we turned up 10 mins before our booking slot to ensure we wouldn't be charged, but this seemed to annoy staff and we were told that we couldn't order food until our booking slot... The rules state that you have to turn up and order within 15 mins of your booking slot otherwise you are turned away and will be charged.
So you MUST turn up exactly on time!!!
Staff also reminded us after we were seated that we only had 2 hours for the booking.... which seemed unnecessary as we were done in just under an hour.
I overheard another table mentioning these rules so they clearly brought the atmosphere down for that table also. What was supposed to be a relaxing evening out was more like a boot camp!
Wonderful girls night at Casa Med. The food was hot and amazing. Couldn't fault it. Served at the right pace and with a friendly smile. The ladies were very attentive (thanks to our server Evie). I've had quite a few bad experiences eating out recently with poor service and cold food. Tonight was a breath of fresh air! Cocktails an added bonus! 1st time visiting and I'll definitely be back.
Tucked away in the heart of town, this small and unique spot offers a welcoming atmosphere, made even better by outstanding service—Zara, in particular, provided a level of hospitality that truly stood out. However, I couldn’t help but notice inconsistencies in the execution of the menu.
While the harissa chicken was packed with bold flavors and the enchilada was well-balanced, other dishes fell short. The patatas bravas lacked the depth and seasoning needed to make them shine, and the calamari was unfortunately overcooked, resulting in a tough texture that took away from the dish’s appeal. These are simple yet classic plates where technique and attention to detail should be key.
Beyond the food, the ambiance had great potential, but the music selection didn’t quite complement the dining experience. A more thoughtfully curated playlist could have enhanced the atmosphere and helped tie the meal together.
That said, every kitchen has off days, and I’d be open to returning—though it would be just as much for the warm service as for the food. With a bit more refinement in both execution and ambiance, this place could truly become a standout dining destination.
Went for a birthday meal on Tuesday 25th June.
We were seated upstairs. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming.
The tapas dishes we had were all delicious especially the pork belly each dish were flavoursome had 6 dishes in total between the 2 of us. We also ordered pratas bravas, chorizo, harissa chicken, casa med salad and bread with balsamic and oil. It was very filling so had no room for desert. With the 15% it was well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised how much it was so I recommend going on a Tuesday.
This is the place to go for a special occasion.
Beautiful well presented place. Courtney the manager was very hospitable, warm and friendly as was the chef. Food was delicious. They do an amazing job of delivering fresh home cooked tasty foods. No microwaved frozen rubbish here.
A little gem. 10/10 all round and as foodies we highly recommend xx
