About This Pub
Ah, the Calderwood Inn – it's one of those unpretentious neighbourhood pubs that just hits the spot for a casual get-together. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff really stand out; they're helpful and make everyone feel welcome, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or hosting something like a baby shower with your own buffet. The beer selection is spot on, with excellent drafts that keep things interesting, and it's dog-friendly too, which is a nice touch if you're out with your furry companion. Plus, with a pool table and clean facilities, it's got that homely feel that makes you want to linger. On the flip side, though, the opening times can be a bit unreliable – one person was left waiting at the door, which is a bit of a letdown if you're eager for that first pint. And since they don't serve food, you might need to plan ahead with some takeaways or your own grub. Overall, it's an inexpensive, no-fuss place with a solid 4.3 rating, so if you're in East Kilbride and after a peaceful pint, it's worth a visit, but keep those expectations realistic for a quiet local haunt.

-
They've got an excellent selection of draft beers, perfect for a relaxing pint with mates.

The place is clean with easy access, including a disabled toilet, and there's a pool table for a bit of entertainment.
Cons
-
The opening hours aren't always spot on – one chap mentioned it was meant to open at 12:00 but didn't until 14:00, which could throw off your plans.
-
They don't serve any food, so you'll have to pop in with your own or head elsewhere for a bite.
-
It can be a bit quiet at times, which might not suit if you're after a lively buzz rather than a laid-back vibe.

About only fog friendly pub in Area of East Kilbride. Staff friendly, good service, relaxed & decent decoration. Would want to spend some time having a quiet pint with your dog in lounge.
Management are trying to up the game, although little competition in area.
Beats other local pubs that have not moved on from the 60's in decoration, attitude of service of staff & ambiance to want to spend any time in the completion with your spouse.
