About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about the Bunbury Arms – it's one of those pubs that just makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The food is an absolute standout; think fresh, hearty dishes that are packed with flavour, whether you're opting for a classic Sunday roast or something lighter on a sunny afternoon. And the staff? They're brilliant, always chatting away with a smile and knowing their stuff inside out, which really adds to the welcoming vibe. It's spot on for anyone with allergies too, like gluten-free options that don't skimp on taste. Plus, with a great range of drinks on offer, from excellent cask ales to other tipples, it's easy to settle in for a good chat. The location's a treat as well, just a quick drive from Cheshire Oaks, offering that peaceful countryside escape with nice outdoor seating when the weather's on your side. But, on the flip side, it's only open five days a week, so you might have to plan around that, and if you're not local, it could feel a tad out of the way for a casual pint. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed meal or drink, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after that genuine pub experience without the hustle and bustle.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely brilliant – fresh, delicious meals that leave you wanting more, like those Sunday roasts and light lunches that hit the spot.
  • Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, always going the extra mile to make sure everything's just right, whether it's about the menu or helping with allergies.
  • It's got a great selection of drinks, from tasty cask ales to a wide range of options that cater to all tastes.
  • The peaceful countryside setting is a lovely escape, especially with outdoor seating for those sunny days, making it a perfect spot after a shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks.
  • They handle dietary needs really well, like gluten-free choices, which is a real bonus for anyone with restrictions.
Cons
  • It's only open five days a week, so if you're planning a visit on a Monday or Tuesday, you might be out of luck.
  • The location's a bit tucked away, which is charming but could mean a short drive if you're not nearby, potentially not the easiest for a spontaneous stop.

Absolutely the best food I’ve had out in a long long time. The staff were brilliant and accommodating. They seemed to really care about our experience and were both very knowledgeable about the food and drink. It’s a massive surprise to go to a pub these days and feel the people running it love their jobs. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend !!!

Brilliant food and really good for allergies, especially gluten. We had a great Sunday roast, and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Great bar serving cask and wide range of drinks. Excellent cellent dessert options and coffee. We will certainly come again.

Stopped for lunch after shopping locally. Gloriously, hot sunny day, so sat outside. Lovely tables inside if you prefer cooler setting. Tastefully decorated. Staff are lovely. Friendly and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a light lunch from the menu, which was freshly made and delicious. The menu has a good varied selection, with reasonable prices. Serve a decent pint, too - San Miguel. 😊 Thank you

We visited the Bunbury Arms for a pub lunch. It is easy to get to and is very close to Cheshire Oaks shopping centre. It is about a 5 minute drive away from it. We were impressed with quality of the food and the beer. The in-house Bunbury Arms Bitter and Lager were excellent. Really tasty. So much better than the usual big brand stuff. The service was really good with the staff being very helpful. Definitely one that we will be rerurning to.
