About This Pub
Ah, the Bull & Anchor – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Coventry, doesn't it? I've got to say, what stands out most is the food; it's genuinely tasty and well-prepared, with dishes like those mixed grills coming out hot and flavoursome, leaving you feeling chuffed without any fuss. Pair that with the staff, who are always cheerful and on point, making sure everything runs smoothly, and you've got a spot that's ideal for a casual catch-up or soaking in the excitement of live sports – think buzzing crowds during events like the Women's Euros, which adds a real sense of community. The prices are spot on too, with some cracking deals on drinks and meals that make it easy on the pocket for a night out. On the other hand, it's not without its downsides; if you're after more vegetarian choices, the menu might leave you wanting a bit more variety, and when it's heaving, that car park can turn into a bit of a scramble. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint or a bite with friends, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – it's got that warm, homely charm that makes you want to return, but with a few tweaks, it'd be even better.

This was a drop in meal for our team the night before a show at the NEC. Great meal - had the Mixed grill (so did my colleagues) and it was spot on. Well Cooked and quick to arrive. Staff were really friendly and the Pint wasn’t bad either!
Hello , we travel from Poole , Dorset, to attend the Coventry City games. my partner and myself eat and , drink here for most home games. the drinks , food and atmosphere are always wonderful. the staff are always very pleasant and efficient. Karen and the team , most definitely go that extra mile to ensure our visits are a pleasure. I'd highly recommend visiting this lovely, friendly establishment. there is also free car parking too . Also nice disability toilet too .
Visited at lunch time today. Took my brother and sister in law it was their first time. We all enjoyed a fabulous lunch and a drink. Couldn't fault anything, staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was hot well cooked and delicious. Lots to choose. There was a good number of people in the pub, it was a nice atmosphere. Thanks to all the staff.
Visited for Breakfast with Santa and for the money it was so good! Funny for the adults and entertaining for the children. Restaurant was decorated Christmassy, crackers on tables, free tea, coffee and juice for children, a nice breakfast, a visit and gift from Santa AND a magic show.
For £6 an adult and £10 a child I was amazed. Spent triple last year elsewhere and it was no where near as fun and entertaining. Highly recommended
Quite a good-sized carpark, although as this is a popular place they could do with more spaces. Wheelchair friendly. I went with a group of four, and the chair had already been removed to make way for the Wheelchair. Being a vegetarian, I didn't find anything striking on the menu. For starters, I had breaded mushrooms with a garlic dip, one of my favourite dishes. Then I had macaroni cheese. For me, it didn't taste like cheese, and it was insipid. It had no colour to it. Then I had biscotti cheesecake. All the staff were friendly and the meals came to the tables quickly, but for me they don't have enough vegetarian or vegan choices.
