About This Pub
Ah, Bubbles Bar – it's one of those places that really sticks in your mind, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant rock 'n' roll heart, perfect for anyone who loves live music and discovering new bands. The atmosphere sounds electric, with staff who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, and a great lineup of drinks to keep the night going. It's that kind of spot where you can escape the everyday and dive into some proper tunes, especially if you're a fan of the British invasion or just fancy a unique night out. But, let's be honest, it's not all smooth sailing – the drinks are a bit steep, which could leave you feeling short-changed after a few rounds. Plus, it draws in a younger crowd that might make things feel a tad chaotic or not as relaxed if you're a bit older and looking for a quieter pint. Overall, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're up for the vibe, but go in with your eyes open to avoid any surprises. It's got that classic pub charm with a rock edge, but like any good night out, it's about knowing what you're getting into!

The live music scene is absolutely buzzing – it's a proper rock bar that encourages new bands and creates a fantastic atmosphere for music lovers.
-
The staff are top-notch, always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home.
-
There's a solid selection of beers, spirits, and cocktails, perfect for a night out with mates.
-
It's a unique little hideaway off the beaten path, which adds to its charm if you're after something a bit different in Ashington.
Cons
-
Drinks can be seriously overpriced compared to other spots in the area, which might put a dampener on the fun.
-
The crowd tends to be on the younger side, sometimes leading to a rowdy vibe that might not be everyone's cup of tea.
-
It seems to have lost some of its old-school appeal, turning into a place that could feel a bit overwhelming if you're not up for the hustle and bustle.

Loved this place in the 90s proper rock bar where you could escape the Ashington dross.
But its now just now just a cesspit for chavs and the drinks are the most overpriced in Ashington as a 'bonus'
Just because I've loved the British invasion from afar I'm partial to unique hideaways off the beaten path. Yes I'm Rock n Roll to the core and Bubbles has the goods.
Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.
It's ok. Always got on well with the staff. If you're mid 40's just be prepared to be at least 20 years older than everyone else though.. 😅 my date of birth not the bar's fault of course, but the bar attracts younger customers (and all the good and bad that comes along with that) Just so ya know.
Great music venue encouraging Original new bands. Good atmosphere. Excellent staff and choice of beers, Spirits and cocktails. Fantastic to see live music.
