About This Pub
Ah, BrewDog Cambridge – what a lovely spot it is for a casual catch-up over a pint or a bite. I have to say, the craft beer scene here is spot on; they've got this incredible lineup of brews that really capture that perfect balance of hops and flavour, making it ideal if you're into exploring new tastes. Pair that with their mouth-watering food options, like those elevated burgers and wings, and you've got a solid meal that hits the spot every time. The staff often add to the charm with their approachable manner, offering recommendations that make you feel right at home. On the downside, though, service isn't always flawless – you might find yourself waiting a bit without anyone popping by, which can be a tad frustrating on a busy night. Plus, I've heard a few grumbles about the cleanliness in certain areas, and that no-kids-after-8-PM rule could limit things for families. All in all, it's a worthwhile stop in Cambridge for a relaxed evening, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and keep an eye on the clock!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The craft beer selection is absolutely brilliant, with a fantastic variety of IPAs, stouts, and fresh releases that keep things exciting.
-
The food menu is a real winner – those hand-smashed burgers, wings, and even options for the little ones make it a top spot for a hearty meal.
-
The staff are generally warm and engaging, often going the extra mile to make you feel welcome and offer great suggestions.
-
It's set in a charming historic location in Cambridge, perfect for soaking up the atmosphere after a wander around the cobbled streets.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit inconsistent at times, like not checking in regularly, which might leave you waiting for that next round.
-
Hygiene issues have cropped up in places, such as the toilets, which can put a dampener on an otherwise enjoyable visit.
-
The rule about no one under 18 after 8 PM means it might not suit families for evening outings, which is a shame if you're planning a later get-together.

Unfortunately we where in a booth right at the back so where left alone whilst it was nice not to be bothered I would have been nice to be checked on occasionally for drinks we would have had more drinks but nobody ever came to ask .
Food was lovely kids hopper meal was fantastic but didn't have brew dog goodies as advertised in it and my wings where more of a snack then a meal .
The dates day offer was great all in all it was a nice meal but could have been better.
Dropped in to Cambridge on my quest to get to 100 bars and was greeted by Georgie who was super friendly and engaging.
I duly presented my beer visa’s and got two decent stamps v2 99 and v3 65.
Thanks Georgie for not making a complete mess!
I arrived just as the bar was opening, but it didn’t take too long before the bar felt alive as more discerning patrons walked through the door expecting a fresh pint!
The bar itself is split level with an upstairs and a decent size and in a great location.
To quench my thirst I started with a classic, Clockwork Tangerine followed by a Fruit Burst and a sample of a cheeky sour, Orange Creamsicle.
Whilst enjoying the refreshing Fruit Burst I tucked into a chicken caesar salad, it certainly hit the spot.
I finished my fleeting visit with the OG, a perfect pint of punk!
Had I not been on the clock, I would’ve stayed happily for a few more drinks, perfect atmosphere with a great playlist in the background.
Cheers Georgie
Been in a Few Brewdog's before so visited this one with some Tesco vouchers I needed to use up. Thank God the vouchers were used as I wouldn't want pay with my own cash here. The reason why started with a visit to the upstairs toilets which were all crammed full of excrement and toilet roll, felt more like prison toilets or something from Trainspotting. This usually indicates a poorly run restaurant/bar. We ordered and waited for food which was two different chicken burgers and some Dragon fries. Meanwhile a full table of dirty plates stayed put on the one next to us and remained that way until 1 minute before we left. The food arrived, the chips were OK but mega salty, but the burgers were awfully dry and not nice at all. If I'd paid myself they'd have gone straight back. Needless to say we had a go at the chips, and some of the burger, drank up and promptly left. Also worth mentioning the auto-tip was removed when paying. Why expect a tip for service when you have to either pay on the app or go and stand at the bar in a queue? Seems to be the norm since covid but we're not in the US so pack it in. In summary, awful.
Came today specifically for Brewdog to mark it off my list. Not the first time we’ve been and certainly won’t be the last.
Superb service, every time we’ve been it’s been spot on. Speedy service, suggestions for food and drink offered and friendly staff.
Loulie went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, always kept well fed and never an empty glass. Being the sad middle aged man I am that’s taken to collecting pin badges, she kindly gave me one from her personal collection which I’m highly grateful for.
Can’t really speak any higher for the service we received.
Will definitely be returning, cemented as my favourite brewdog and I’ve been to a few.
Really enjoyed our perfectly-cooked burgers and “flights” of beers, what an amazing choice there is. Loulie and colleagues really looked after us and our dog, making it a perfect lunch.
