About This Pub
Oh, what a gem BrewDog Aberdeen is – it's their very first bar, opened back in 2010, and you can really feel that pioneering spirit in the air. I've heard from mates that it's an absolute haven for craft beer lovers, with an impressive lineup of IPAs, stouts, and more on those 28 taps, plus they often spotlight other breweries, keeping things fresh and exciting. The food side of things is equally appealing; those pizzas and subs are just the ticket for a relaxed meal, and the dog-friendly policy makes it feel so inclusive – perfect if you're out with your pooch or just fancy a laid-back spot. Events like the Lunch Club and Happy Hour add a nice touch, making it easy to dive into the fun without breaking the bank. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing; a few folks have mentioned run-ins with staff who weren't quite up to scratch, perhaps a bit moody or slow when things get hectic, which is a shame because it could sour an otherwise brilliant outing. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a chat, but I'd say go in with an open mind – the good days will have you coming back for more, and even the off ones might still deliver on the beer front.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The selection of craft beers is absolutely brilliant, with 28 taps offering a mix of BrewDog's own brews and showcases from other top breweries – it's a real treat for beer enthusiasts.
-
It's wonderfully dog-friendly and fully accessible, making it a welcoming spot for everyone, whether you're popping in with your four-legged friend or just looking for an inclusive atmosphere.
-
The food menu is spot on, especially the sourdough pizzas and new melts and subs; perfect for a casual lunch or pairing with a pint during their Lunch Club or Happy Hour deals.
-
The vibe is lively and engaging, with fun events, games, and a great atmosphere that makes it easy to while away an afternoon or evening.
Cons
-
Service can be hit or miss, with some reports of unprofessional staff who might come across as a bit short or uninterested, which can put a dampener on things.
-
It gets busy at times, and if they're understaffed, you might face slower service, as one visitor mentioned when they were left waiting a bit too long.
-
Experiences aren't always consistent, so while it's generally a good time, you might have a mixed bag depending on the day or the team on shift.

Barman was wildly unprofessional. Didn't speak for most of the interaction, everything came with a free eye roll and the absolute worst attitude I've ever encountered at a Brewdog, or anywhere!
Loved every single other one I've been to, like Glasgow and Perth as the staff are a delight but here Mr Moustache is so unpleasant I'm surprised the beer isn't sour.
This is my favourite brewdog in Aberdeen. The atmosphere is always good, and the staff are very friendly. The pizzas they do are always very tasty, and the games they have make for fun entertainment.
The experience was I would describe as mixed. The reason for that was that there was only one member of staff working there during the day which made customer service relatively slow, it isn’t to blame the person working as they were constantly working. They weren’t too happy that we ordered tea and hot chocolate, as they explained it isn’t a place to drink tea, however we wanted to eat their dishes so we wanted to stay, we didn’t drink as both of us for medical reasons couldn’t. The food took about an hour to make, the person also forgot what we ordered so we got a pizza and a hot dog but we actually ordered two hot dogs. We never got our tea, we just had coke. The member of staff was nice and friendly about it and felt bad in a way but I suppose the service wasn’t the best but not the worst. Things do happen and people do forget so it isn’t that big of a deal, he was happy to change it if we needed it changed.
One of the best Brewdogs I've been to in recent times! Service was exceptional, Cameron and Stewart made our night really special. Clean and tidy environment, looking great. Fantastic atmosphere. Daily Draught options on point. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for a great night!
