About This Pub

Ah, let me tell you about Boso, ale w Ostrogach – it's this lovely little bar in Worksop that's got a real Polish flair to it, and from the reviews, it's clear folks are smitten with the grub. I mean, the breakfasts sound spot on, with those fluffy, moist scrambled eggs and tasty Polish bread that even the kids gobble up, plus a massive array of cakes and sweets that make it tough to decide what to take home. The staff come across as absolute gems, always ready with a smile and quick service, and the decor is just beautiful – it's no wonder it hosted a wedding that everyone raved about, calling it unique and cosy. But, and I have to be straight with you, it's not all roses; there was this one tale of undercooked chicken that sounds pretty grim, and it seems service can drag on even when it's quiet, which is a shame. Still, with a solid 4.1 rating from heaps of reviews, I'd say it's worth popping in if you're nearby, especially for a relaxed meal or to grab some treats, just keep an eye out for those occasional slip-ups to avoid any disappointments.

  • Overall, it's a hidden gem with fresh, hot food and a super atmosphere that leaves you wanting to come back with mates.
Cons
  • There have been instances of undercooked food, like raw chicken in one case, which is quite worrying and could put you off.
  • Service can be slow at times, even when the place isn't busy, leading to frustrating waits for your meal.
  • Handling complaints doesn't always hit the mark – sometimes it's just a quick sorry without much effort to make things right.
  • It might not be the most reliable for a quick bite, as some experiences suggest inconsistencies in the food and service.

Went here for breakfast. Was not disappointed. The scrambled eggs are excellent. Fluffy, Moist and well presented. Polish bread is also very well made. Kids loved it, they also loved the side dish of ham and cheese. Had to take cake him with us. Staff are great, served us really fast and they helped us order. Highly recommend this even if just for the cake.

Beautiful restaurant but unfortunately service needs improvement. Me and my partner visited this restaurant after nice walk in Daneshill Lakes. I have suggested to my partner that before we gonna drive home (Nottingham) we can go and have a nice meal. Well.... I am Polish so I have ordered small starter to shere what was just bread with pork fat and cucumber... for that we were waiting about 15/20 mins. And we didn't get any cutlery or napkins with it. 2. If I wouldn't ask waitress wouldn't bring sour cucumbers...what is very important with this starter. 3. For mains we were waiting another 35 minutes... very tasty but too long waiting... 4. Portion are massive so of we would know the portions are that big we would order one to shere 😅 5 very pricey... Rather pay less and get half of the portions. 6. Nice and small menu but.... about 12 soups on the menu and just 2 available 😂🙄 7. I was hoping for Tatar too because I've seen on Facebook advert and I was told that they do sometimes on weekends.... 8. If you have just 2 soups available. Why there is no available the easiest soup which is Rosol.??? 9. And If you wanna open Polish restaurant why just one beer is on drought and thats Heineken not Polish beer ? AGAIN NICE RESTAURANT BUT NEEDS BETTER MANAGEMENT. WE DROVE FROM NOTTINGHAM AND WE WONT BE BACK. THATS A SHAME.
