About This Pub

Ah, Big Window – it's one of those pubs in Burnley that really hits the spot for a casual get-together, you know? I've been looking into the reviews, and from what I can tell, they've got a smashing selection of beers and wines that folks are raving about, and at prices that won't break the bank – like grabbing a pint for just £2.40, which is an absolute bargain these days. If you're into watching the footie or any other sports, there are heaps of screens dotted around, so you won't miss a moment. It's open seven days a week with hours that stretch into the evening, making it super convenient for a spontaneous stop-off. But, and I have to be straight with you, it's not all sunshine and roses. There are a couple of stories floating about the DJ being a bit of a nuisance, especially towards women, which is pretty disappointing and could make some feel uncomfortable. Plus, a few have had dodgy experiences, like getting ill after a few drinks, and the crowd can turn a bit lively with shouting and carry-on that might spoil the fun if you're after a quiet pint. All in all, it's worth checking out if you're nearby, but maybe go with a group and keep an eye on the vibe to make sure it's a good night.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer and wine selection is fantastic – plenty of great options to suit different tastes.
  • Drinks are really affordable, like pints for just £2.40, which makes it a wallet-friendly spot.
  • It's brilliant for sports fans with loads of TV screens showing various games.
  • They're open every day with flexible hours, so you can pop in whenever the mood strikes.
Cons
  • There have been some unsettling reports about the DJ being rude or bullying towards women, which puts a damper on things.
  • A few folks mentioned getting sick after having drinks here, which is a bit worrying.
  • The crowd can get quite rowdy at times with shouting and abuse, making it less enjoyable for a relaxed evening.

Does a good beer back to serving real ale, but the clientele leaves a lot to be desired. The under class prevalent, i was trying to watch the football and there was lots of shouting and abuse from the people around if that's your thing its a good pub but I won't be going again, sorry.

Decent Burnley pub about 10 minutes walk from Manchester Road Station. Two cask beers on handpump when I visited - £2.40 a pint! Lots of TV screens showing a variety of different sports.
