About This Pub
Oh, Bath Brew House is one of those places that really captures the spirit of a proper British pub, isn't it? I popped in for a pint and was chuffed with their on-site micro-brewery churning out all sorts of delicious beers – from a zesty session IPA to a hearty stout, there's something to suit most tastes, and it's all made fresh right there. The atmosphere is spot on, too; it's lively without being overwhelming, ideal for sinking into a quiz night or watching the rugby with mates. The staff deserve a mention as well – they're so approachable and helpful, like that bartender who handled a glass mishap like it was nothing and still recommended a cracking beer. On the flip side, it's not all perfect; the prices do add up quickly, so it might not be the best for a budget evening out, and while the food hits the spot, it's fairly standard stuff that doesn't quite match the buzz of the brews. All in all, if you're after a genuine, community-focused spot in Bath for a good chinwag over a pint, it's well worth a visit, but keep an eye on that wallet for a balanced night.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
Their own micro-brewery serves up a cracking selection of unique beers, from refreshing IPAs to rich stouts, all brewed right on site – it's a real treat for beer enthusiasts.
-
The staff are absolute gems, always friendly and quick to recommend a great pint or handle any mishaps with a smile, making every visit feel welcoming.
-
It's got a lively atmosphere that's perfect for catching live sport, joining a quiz night, or hosting events in their cosy private space upstairs.
-
The outdoor seating area is lovely for a relaxed pint on a nice day, and they offer brewery tours which add a fun extra layer to the experience.
Cons
-
Prices can be a bit steep for beers and food, which might make it feel pricey compared to other local spots, especially if you're planning a long session.
-
Some of the drinks, like the ciders, tend to be on the sweet side, so it might not suit everyone who prefers something drier.
-
The food is alright – think a solid burger and chips – but it's nothing particularly standout, more of an afterthought to the beers.

A fantastic local brewery with all the creature comforts of a big pub.
The Brew House brews a variety of their own beers, and offers paid tours of their facility (which is on site). They also offer various other big name beers, so everyone has an option. The beers were expensive, so you were definitely paying a premium for local, but I don't mind that.
The place itself is amazing. The main inside area is like a traditional pub, but the outdoor (completely covered) rear area is a massive modern take on a pub, and had a huge variety of seating and loads of space. Added together, this place is pretty big.
Service was a bit iffy. The young lad serving when we visited wasn't the last bit interested, but hopefully we just caught him at the wrong time. He didn't do anything wrong, just didn't have the right attitude.
Highchairs were available, as was baby changing.
Izzy was such a good bartender, a glass broke in her hand for no reason and she just cleaned it up and kept serving beer without a fuss. She recommended some great beers for us. This is a happening place. This was a Tuesday night at 8:30. The Pink Lemon was my favorite, very refreshing.
I had the Brewers Burger & Chips £20, plus a pint. I would like to see a dry draft cider served here, both draft ciders were quite sweet. Meal was OK, London prices. Nice outside seating area.
As a serial quizzer, I am here every week spending my hard earned money. The highlights of my evenings has to be the fantastic service from Kasey! Always friendly and always hospitable :) hopefully we win the quiz tonight 💪🏻💪🏻 3 time champions???

Was a pleasure to work with Bath Brew House using their private events space upstairs! I run a dating event company called Single Strangers and Bath Brew House were a great support on the night and on social media to promote the event. The space is cozy but surprisingly bigger than I thought, fitting my usual busy crowd! Staff helped me set things up on the night which was sweet and was there if I needed anything. It all went very smoothly and can highly recommend to hire the space!
Thanks again for having me 😁
