About This Pub

Ah, Barrel & Corner – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a welcoming haven, doesn't it? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the pints of Guinness are bang on, with folks raving about how authentic and tasty they are, making it a go-to spot if you're after that proper Irish pub experience. The staff really stand out too; they're quick with a smile and make sure everything runs smoothly, which adds to the homely feel. It's brilliant for watching the footie, with a lively atmosphere that gets you caught up in the excitement, and that outdoor patio is a nice touch for when you fancy a change of scene. On the flip side, though, prices are a bit steep for what you get, so it might not be the best for tightening the belt on a night out. And while the pub itself is a cut above, the local area around Wembley has seen better days, which could dampen the mood a little if you're hoping for a picturesque setting. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a chat – I'd say give it a try if you're in the neighbourhood, but keep an eye on your wallet!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The Guinness is spot on – it's a proper pint that hits the mark every time, just like you'd hope for in a good Irish pub.
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant; they're welcoming and provide excellent service that makes you feel right at home.
  • It's got a cracking atmosphere, especially for watching football – perfect for catching the game with mates over a drink.
  • There's a nice patio area out front, which is a lovely bonus for enjoying a pint in the fresh air when the weather's on your side.
  • It's open every day from 11am to 11pm, so it's dead convenient for a spontaneous stop-in after work or before an event.
Cons
  • Drinks can be a bit on the pricey side, like that £5 pint of Guinness, which might sting if you're planning a long session.
  • The surrounding area in Wembley has lost some of its original charm, which could make the overall experience feel a tad less idyllic, though the pub itself shines through.

I had a few pints before going to see the Lads get promoted. Not cheap but a nice pint of Guinness.

Popped in here before the League 2 playoff final. Excellent bar staff. One of those brilliant Irish pubs I'd love in my home town.

A lovely oasis in an area that unfortunately has lost its original charms.. like most modern towns these days...😔 A BIG shout-out to the boss Con, and Mark the manager, who's hospitality was impeccable and more then welcoming!🙏🏼 The Guinness was real and so we're the punters and at £5 a pint you can't go wrong!!! 👍🏼👍🏼😎

Didn’t eat here, the atmosphere, service and live football were great for drinks. Patio area in front was a bonus 🙂 I’ll be back soon 😜
