About This Pub

Ah, J.J. Moon's – it's one of those reliable Wetherspoon spots that you can always count on for a wallet-friendly pint and a chat with friends. I have to say, the real highlights are the cracking deals on drinks and food; you can nip in for a quick breakfast that's surprisingly good, or enjoy some nice cask ales without breaking the bank. The place is massive and kept tidy, which makes it feel welcoming even when it's buzzing. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing – I've heard tales of cold or poorly prepared food that can put a dampener on things, and a couple of stories about orders going missing with no easy fix, which is a shame when you're just after a hassle-free visit. Overall, it's a solid choice for us lot who appreciate a bargain, but it'd be even better if they ironed out those little niggles to make every trip a winner.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The prices are spot on for a good night out – you can grab a pint for under £2, which is brilliant value in this area.
  • They've got a great selection of cask ales and other drinks, plus the food options like breakfast and fried dishes are pretty tasty when they're on form.
  • Service is generally quick, even when it's busy, which makes it easy to pop in for a casual catch-up.
  • It's a spacious and clean spot, perfect for meeting mates or just relaxing with a drink.
  • Opens early and stays open late, so it's handy whatever time you're fancying a visit.
Cons
  • Food quality can be hit or miss – some folks have had cold chips or dishes that look like they've been sitting around too long.
  • There have been a few gripes about service slip-ups, like food not showing up and no refunds, which can leave you feeling a bit frustrated.
  • It gets pretty packed at times, and while that's expected, it might mean you struggle to find a table if you're not there early.
  • Occasional issues with how complaints are handled, which isn't ideal when you're hoping for a straightforward pint and a bite.

Busy but fast service and a couple of very nice cask ales. Big building (as is normal for a Spoons). Even though it was busy we did manage to get a table as it was pretty early (6.45pm) Didn't eat, just popped in for a quick couple of halves. Can't believe it was £1.99 a pint a 10 mins walk from Wembley. Unbelievably cheap.

I had ordered a bowl of chips and some drinks but the chips was cold and when i asked manager to give me fresh chips they put some fresh chips on the top and give it back. Moreover, chips look dark like oil hasn’t been changed for a long time. So i would like to say other customers that don’t order foor from this pub, the quality is so bad

Paid in cash, food never arrived — receipt in hand, still no refund. Suspicious behavior. I visited the JD Wetherspoon Wembley branch on 7 May 2025 and paid in cash for onion rings at the bar. I still have the receipt — but the food never arrived. I waited and asked the staff, but they had no explanation, didn’t investigate, and refused to refund me. To make matters worse, while I briefly stepped outside for a cigarette, someone cleared my table and took my half-eaten chips without asking. When I returned, my food was gone and the staff didn’t care. This isn't just a mistake. With a valid receipt and no order delivered, I’m beginning to believe the cashier may have pocketed the money. If that's not theft, I don't know what is. Absolutely disgraceful experience. I will be taking this complaint further.

Had breakfast here one day. The next day I popped in for a beer. Fast service and the breakfast was good, especially the bacon was nice and smokey.
