About This Pub

Ah, The Winslow Hotel – what a gem it is in Liverpool! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this fantastic community feel, particularly if you're an Everton fan, with folks raving about the welcoming staff who make you feel right at home, whether you're popping in for a pint before a match or hosting something special like a christening. The drinks and food sound spot on, adding to that proper pub charm that makes it a go-to for good times. On the flip side, it does get heaving on game days, so you might find yourself jostling for space, and if football isn't your thing, the whole setup could come across as a bit niche. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening or a lively get-together, and with such high ratings, it's clear this place knows how to deliver a memorable experience – just keep in mind it shines brightest for those in blue!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, like chatting with old mates.
  • It's a brilliant spot for Everton fans, with a real community vibe that turns any visit into a proper blue family gathering.
  • The drinks and grub are top-notch, offering great pints and tasty food that hit the spot every time.
  • Ideal for special occasions or match days, creating that perfect mix of entertainment and good times.
Cons
  • It can get pretty packed on match days, which might make it a bit of a squeeze if you're after a quiet pint.
  • If you're not an Everton supporter, the football-focused atmosphere might not appeal as much, feeling a tad one-sided.

Went here for a funeral a While back and forgot to review. Really nice little pub dedicated to the small club in the city. Really good grub and staff were lovely. Anyone leaving blag reviews as a joke give yer head a wobble. This place is sound and is someone’s livelihood.

Best pub an Evertonian could go to, really. Right next door to the Grand Old Lady. The staff are all absolutely lovely and the pub always feels like one big blue family. Entertainment is always guaranteed, the drinks are absolutely top notch, and I couldn’t think of a better place to spend the day or evening on a match day. Up The Winslow. UTFT.

We had our little boys christening at the Winslow yesterday. I can't recommend this pub highly enough. From booking it, Dave looked after us. Him and the brilliant girls behind the bar went over and above helping us to make sure the day ran smoothly. Special mention to the lovely Teresa, who done the fantastic buffet too, which everyone complimented. Thanks so very much to Dave and the girls for making our little boys day one to remember. Everyone had a great time. Thank you
