About This Pub
Ah, The Wellington – it's one of those pubs that just warms your cockles the moment you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks absolutely rave about the beer selection; they've got Neepsend brews and a bunch of guests on tap, all served up perfectly, which is a real treat if you're into your ales like I am. The atmosphere's spot on too – imagine sinking into a comfy spot by a blazing fire on a nippy day, or heading out to that lovely beer garden with its heat lamps and fairy lights for a bit of fresh air without the chill. And let's not forget the bargains; those £1 sandwiches are a godsend for a quick, tasty bite that won't empty your wallet. It's got that classic old-school charm that makes you feel right at home. On the flip side, though, the website's a right faff to navigate, so you might end up winging it when it comes to checking opening times or what's on offer. Plus, the hours can look a bit unpredictable, so it's worth double-checking to avoid disappointment. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone exploring Sheffield's pub scene – the good far outweighs the niggles, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for a proper, enjoyable pint.

Old school pub with good selection of real ale. Decent outside terraces.
Proper pub, beautiful layout and old features, Neepsend beers in great condition. Everything you want it to be. Would recommend as part of any pub exploration of Sheffield.
Old school pub with the warmest of welcomes, great neepsend beers on the bar as well as other breweries, on a cold day the fire is blazing away in the main room, Don't forget to sample the sandwiches as well, the potted meat is excellent!
Phenomenal boozer, owned by Neepsend brewery. 6 cask (2-4 neepsend plus guests) and around 8 keg lines, plus a huge number of whiskeys.
Breadcakes £1!
My favourite pub by a mile - staff and regulars are all fantastic, and it has the nicest beer garden with shelter, heat lamps, and fairy lights.
Beers are always changing and the spirit of the week keeps my husband happy but I'm a wine purveyor myself 🍷 the £1 sandwiches are perfect too!
