About This Pub

Ah, The Old Post Office – it's one of those cosy pubs that just feels like a proper community hub in Coatbridge. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are genuinely lovely, always on hand with a smile and efficient service that makes you want to linger a bit longer. The drinks are spot on too, reasonably priced and with those fun drink slides that could make any evening feel a tad more special, especially if you're popping in for a football match – it's got that lively vibe that really draws you in. On the flip side, it's not all perfect; there was that one review about a singer who was a right dud, which meant some folks cut their night short, and the hours can vary a bit, so you might want to plan ahead. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night out, with a 4.4 rating showing it's generally well-loved, but like any pub, it's got its quirks – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the good bits far outweigh the bad.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The service here is absolutely spot on – always friendly and quick, making you feel right at home.
  • Drinks are reasonably priced, which is a real winner for a casual catch-up with mates.
  • It's a brilliant spot for watching football; the atmosphere really gets going during matches.
  • They've got these amazing drink slides that add a fun twist to your pint – sounds like a laugh!
Cons
  • Entertainment can be hit or miss; one night we had a singer who was a bit of a letdown and put a dampener on things.
  • The opening hours seem a tad inconsistent from what I've seen, so it's worth double-checking to avoid disappointment.

Great bar we visited on the 19th of August. We did leave early due to the singer they had on. He was rubbish, couldn't even tell what song he was singing. We would have stayed all night like we have in the past if it wasn't for him. Drinks are reasonably priced. The drink slides are amazing and Great on price! We love! There is plenty of seating along with a good atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful.
