About This Pub
Ah, The Ernehale – it's one of those reliable Wetherspoon haunts that you can always count on for a wallet-friendly pint and a bite to eat, especially if you're popping in for a quick catch-up or a relaxed evening. I love how they keep things affordable without skimping on options; whether it's a cracking curry poured over chips or a simple fish and chips that hits the spot, it's all about that great value that makes you feel like you've got a bargain. The beers are always a highlight, and the atmosphere has that warm, buzzing energy that's just right for chatting away with friends. On the flip side, though, the kitchen isn't always on top form – you might end up with overcooked eggs or a plate that's missing a few essentials, which can be a bit frustrating after a long day. Still, with most folks raving about the positives and only a few niggles here and there, it's worth giving it a go if you're in the area, just maybe keep your expectations in check and go for the classics to play it safe.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
It's incredibly affordable, with cheap drinks and meals that give you great bang for your buck – perfect for a casual night out without breaking the bank.
-
The food can be spot on when it's good, like piping hot curries or tasty cod and chips, and they've got refillable coffee or tea which is a lovely little perk.
-
They've got a solid selection of beers and a welcoming vibe that makes it feel like a proper local spot for catching up with mates.
-
The atmosphere is generally lively and enjoyable, especially if you're after that classic pub feel with good value grub.
Cons
-
The kitchen can be a bit hit or miss, with some dishes coming out overcooked or missing key bits like sauce or salad, which is a shame when you're expecting consistency.
-
There are occasional grumbles about food quality, like eggs benedict that's more hard-boiled than poached, so it might not always live up to the hype.
-
While it's generally reliable, you might find yourself hoping for a bit more attention to detail in the cooking to avoid any disappointments.

Cheap and cheerfull, good food for the price. Great beers.
I didn't eat. Only had coffee. Great little pub, been there a few times and the food came out hot. Which was a nice surprise as eaten at a few spoons now, but most of the time food was cold sadly.

They must have the worst cooks on there, I always get eggs benedict from spoons, but this store in Arnold is awful, always overcooked, hardboiled, sometime missing the sauce, sometime missong the salad.
Definetly need sorting the kitchen
We both had Cod, Chips & Mushy Peas. The Cod was lovely and tasty. All hot when served. Refillable coffee and/or tea is a great bonus too.
I love curries. The hotter the better AND pouring the sauce over chips. So when both the curry, sauce and chips are PERFECT, it only makes you love Wetherspoon's food.
Excellent value. Great vibey atmosphere!
