About This Pub
Ah, The Bull's Head, what a treat it is! I've got to say, from chatting about it with mates, this place really hits the mark for a good night out without the fancy frills. The atmosphere is just brilliant; it's got that cosy, community feel where you can relax with a pint and bump into familiar faces, like those old timers who've been propping up the bar for years. Prices are spot on too – everything's inexpensive, making it ideal for a casual catch-up or even a family do in their party room, which is perfect for up to 80 people and comes with handy free parking. The staff are an absolute highlight; Nikki and the landlord sound like legends, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after. On the flip side, the operating hours listed are a bit all over the place, so you might end up double-checking before heading out. Plus, without a website, it's not the easiest to get updates online, and if you're not local, the location in Great Sutton could be a bit out of the way. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for anyone after a friendly, no-nonsense pub experience – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go for a laugh and a few drinks with friends.

Great atmosphere been popping in and out of the bull for years always friendly place to go and great prices.
Attended here for a family party, was in a great little room at the back, ideal for parties of up to about 80. Drinks were good value and it was a friendly atmosphere.
Free parking at the front and large overspill car park to the rear.
Toilet facilities were good and overall the place looked clean.
Ideal for small to medium gatherings in my opinion.
Was our favourite pub 40 years ago when I lived in the same street.
It's a different world now and not so many people spending every waking hour in the pub 😀
Was nice to see some of the same old faces in the bar, looked like they haven't moved for 40 years !
Where has this pub been all my life? Best pub in Ellesmere Port. The Landlord is an absolute legend. Great atmosphere, loads of characters and cheap pool. What's not to like?
