Good place for a quiet drink, too many undercover policemen though 👀
Close the the motorway, rotherham town centre and shopping centres and football ground makes this a great place to stay. The bar is well stocked, the rooms which have just been refurbished are very well presented. The land lady is friendly and knowledgeable of the local area.
Friday and satirday nights are music and karaoke which is professionally run and well set up. The pool table is well cared for and set up to professional standards.
Beer garden is quiet and nice place for summer days.
Budget hotel that as budget hotels go is not bad. Rooms are clean, carpets are well above average for hotels in this price range, hallsways etc very clean. The hotel accommodation smells nice and there's no signs of damp. VERY DIFFERENT from some budget hotels I've stayed in!!!
The bar is lively full of character and has an authentic atmosphere. Staff are exactly as you would expect in an old fashioned "local".
Unfortunately the area is not the most upmarket with the usual NIMBY type of strife.
All in all I would recommend this place as if you want a honest down to earth pub and need somewhere to stay that won't break the bank
