About This Pub

Ah, Park Inn Hartlepool – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper community hub, you know? I've heard from folks that it's brilliant for grabbing a pint with friends, especially with those cracking drink offers and the excitement of live sports or a big band session on Sundays. The prices are spot on for a moderate spend, and it's got that traditional warmth that makes you want to linger. On the flip side, though, things can get a tad chaotic; the karaoke might crank up the volume a bit too high, leaving some struggling to hear themselves think, and if it's packed, good luck getting served quickly. Plus, a few have mentioned parking woes and a younger crowd that can make it feel a bit lively in not the best way, so it might not suit everyone for a peaceful evening. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're up for the buzz, but I'd say pop in with an open mind and maybe avoid peak times if you fancy a more relaxed catch-up.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is really welcoming and community-oriented, perfect for catching up with mates over a pint.
  • They've got a great selection of drinks with unbeatable offers, especially the weekday deals and cheap beer prices like John Smith's.
  • Live events such as karaoke, big band sessions, and sports like football and rugby add a lively buzz to the place.
  • Parking is available, which makes it convenient for popping in after a drive.
  • It's a traditional pub that's open seven days a week with consistent hours, so you can always rely on it for a good time.
Cons
  • The karaoke can get overwhelmingly loud, making it tough for those who are hard of hearing or just want a quiet chat.
  • Service can be a bit of a struggle when it's busy, like during events, so you might end up waiting longer than you'd like.
  • Parking fines have been an issue for some, even when it's meant to be free, which puts a damper on the experience.
  • The crowd can sometimes get rowdy with younger folks, leading to a less relaxed vibe and potentially scaring off regulars.
  • Drink options are a bit limited, mostly sticking to a few beers, so if you're after variety, you might be disappointed.

A lovely place to have a nice drink and chat with friends but when the karaoke goes on it is way too loud, i asked for it to be turned down as myself and people I was with are very hard of hearing, she kindly turned it down then put it louder other than it was before 🤭. Also quite a few people moved in the hope it would be quieter. We love the karaoke we really do but it's too loud to be enjoyable. Again cracking place with brilliant bar staff 👏

The big band Sunday lunchtime absolutely great. A struggle to get served mind being busy. Cheap beer prices, although only beer available was John Smiths or Worthington's. Nicer crowd than last visit.

Have drank in this pub for over 30 years, but it has changed. Full of young people who have no respect for others customers. They wrestle about the pub,and treat it as a gymnasium jumping about the place, and no one is bothered to say anything to them. You are losing the loyal customers.
