About This Pub
Ah, Papermill Brewers Fayre – it's one of those pubs that feels like a reliable old mate, you know? Tucked away in Loudwater, it's got that classic vibe where you can pop in for a hearty breakfast that sets you up for the day, or gather the family for a Sunday carvery that's always a crowd-pleaser. The staff are genuinely warm and chatty, making you feel like you're among friends, and it's brilliant for groups with kids or even watching live football over a cold drink. They've got some tempting offers too, like those affordable lunch deals that let you try new dishes without breaking the bank. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – I've heard a few grumbles about sticky tables and plates left lying around, which can put a damper on things, and the food, while decent, doesn't always hit the heights you'd hope for. Plus, accessibility isn't quite as sorted as it could be, so it might not suit everyone. Overall, it's a solid choice for a laid-back pub experience if you're in High Wycombe, but maybe keep an eye out for those little niggles to make the most of your visit.

Sticky tables and sticky toilet floor tells you how clean the place was. We were told that the table had new varnish - that's why it is sticky. Table service was fine but food was average quality. The neighbouring tables had plates which were left uncleared for a long time- unsightly. To top it all, some of the group who ate there developed diarrhea within few hours. Had bad vibes from the word go. But, we stayed and had food. But, I am never going back here.
I stayed at the Premier Inn, which didn't have disabled access rooms available. They could see that I was disabled as I used a walking stick, and they put me in a room which I had to stop about 5 times to get to. After having a word with the reception and getting no help, I called customer care, which was closed at the weekend. I finally managed to get the room changed and was just more disappointed because of the state of the room. It wasn't worth taking it up with the reception after how I was first treated, so I took it up with customer care, but as they moved me to the other room, they found this satisfactory. Please see the pictures attached. The breakfast was a disappointment and cheaper than cheap!!
Stall were lovely and offered us the side room for our party of 14 which had adjoining toilets which meant the kids could take themselves. So helpful. The food was delicious and all meals came out swiftly. It was a perfect place for a pub lunch to celebrate my grandad’s 90th
Myself and my partner come for breakfast during the week and that was amazing! My partner then noticed a posted about carvery so we went today with our 3 children and it was amazing, staff were all very happy, jolly and chatty which made everything even better! One of my children is a fussy eater (won’t eat meat) and she fell in love with the stuffing balls, as did I!!! Will definitely be returning with all my family! Amazing prices as well!
It was rather like a "Restaurant" service than "a pub meal", which was kind like "Wow" 😍
The staff was ever so courteous and full of smile, very polite and making you feel very welcomed.
The selection of food is those that are usually seen on the pub menu, which was absolutely fine and we enjoyed them. They were well cooked, value for money, and tasty.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
