About This Pub
Ah, Major Tom's Social – what a lovely find in Harrogate! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really nails the whole pub experience with its focus on quality craft beers and real ales, especially those from nearby Yorkshire breweries, which gives it that authentic local charm. The pizzas are a standout; they're freshly made and baked in a proper stone oven, and folks rave about the vegan options and classics like the vegetable supreme – it's clear they've put heart into getting the flavours just right. The vibe is spot on too, with live music adding a nice touch and board games scattered about to keep the energy fun and engaging, making it ideal for a relaxed evening with mates or even a family outing. That said, it's not all perfect; a few mentions of it feeling a bit nippy inside could spoil the mood on cooler days, and while most dishes impress, there are occasional gripes about some being a touch bland or too sweet, so it might pay to stick with the crowd favourites. Overall, though, it's a welcoming hideaway that captures the essence of a good pub – I'd definitely recommend popping in for a pint and a slice if you're in the area, as it's got that warm, community feel that's hard to beat.

Cons

Some dishes might not hit the mark flavour-wise; for instance, certain pizzas came across as a tad bland or overly sweet in a couple of reviews.

Visiting Harrogate for the day and having a chill Sunday evening and just ate the nicest tastiest pizza I’ve ever had (vegan one with butternut squash and pine nuts- heaven!). Also special mention to the fresh hot dough balls served with a separate pile of garlic butter so use as little or as much as you like (of course ours had a butter bath!!)
Great choice of drinks and really great value overall.
Do yourself a massive favour and go here if you’re in town. Absolutely 5 stars from us!
Lovely pub with live music and a great selection of ciders and beers in a quirky location. The band here were fantastic
The vegetable supreme pizza was exceptional, best I have ever had! And lovely cocktails too.
Really cool place, lots of beers, pizzas, board games. Kept our big family entertained for a couple of hours. Only downfall it was v chilly in there. Pizzas and butternut salad was really good. Anchovy pizza was the best! Goats cheese/pepper was nice but v sweet. Aubergine one was quite bland
Ended up coming here during a party and had a great time! The beers were nice, the vibe was excellent, and the food was good. We didn’t get pizza but I wish we had, they looked delish
