About This Pub

So, I've been having a look at MAC & Co in Worksop, and it's one of those places that really stands out for music lovers – think great gigs and open mic nights that bring a proper lively energy, all in a clean and well-run spot where the staff make you feel right at home. The prices are spot on too, and it's got that welcoming touch that makes for a brilliant night out. On the other hand, if you're there on a sunny day, those big windows can turn into a bit of a headache with the glare, and they've had moments where certain drinks were out of stock, which is a shame when you're in the mood for something specific. Still, with such positive vibes from folks who've been there, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on once it reopens – a solid choice for a good time, but just be prepared for those little quirks.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's a fantastic spot for live music and bands, with events that really get the atmosphere buzzing, like open mic nights that feel just like being at a big venue.
  • The place is spotlessly clean and well-managed, which makes for a comfortable and welcoming environment every time.
  • Great accessibility, making it easy for everyone to enjoy, especially if you're dealing with mobility issues.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and offer brilliant hospitality, with good prices on drinks and a real community feel.
  • It's got an amazing bar with top-notch pints and a lively vibe that's perfect for a fun night out with mates.
Cons
  • In the summer months, the sun can be a right nuisance shining through those huge windows, making it a bit uncomfortable at times.
  • There have been some issues with drink stock, like running out of popular beers, which can put a damper on things.
  • It's currently closed, so you might have to wait a bit before popping in for a visit.

Like the venue. Good accessibility for the band and people with mobility issues. Just reopened after being flooded. Negative points in the summer months the sun can be blinding through the huge windows. Other night had issues with drinks, 1 bottle of Newcastle brown ale, then they ran out of Guinness so Doom Bar Ale , luckily at the end of the night so don't know what stock they had left of that.

Brilliant hospitality, good prices and an amazing bar. It's always me and my mum's first place to go on a night out. Love the bartender and his father! Thanks for always playing Papua New Guinea for my mother hahaha. And thank you for the free shots! Much love to MAC & Co.
