About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Ma Pardoes – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local hideaway in Dudley, you know? I've heard from folks who've popped in that the beers are top drawer, especially since they brew their own ales, which come out sparkling and full of that authentic Black Country charm. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a friendly natter and making sure everyone feels welcome, which really adds to the cosy, traditional vibe with its interesting rooms like the Smoke Room. And the food? Well, things like those cheese and onion rolls with black pudding are spot on – packed with strong, tasty flavours and won't break the bank. But, fair's fair, it can be a bit hit or miss with food availability, like not having it on Sunday evenings, so you might want to plan ahead if that's your thing. Overall, it's a cracking spot for a relaxed catch-up over a pint, and with such high ratings from happy visitors, I'd say it's well worth seeking out for a genuine pub experience, even if it's a tad quiet now and then.
Pros and Cons

-
Great value for money overall, with affordable beers and grub, and it's open every day for a reliable spot to pop in.
Cons
-
Food might not always be available, like on Sunday evenings, which could put a dampener on plans if you're after a bite with your drink.
-
The pub can be quiet at times, which is nice for a chilled-out visit but might not suit if you're looking for a lively buzz.
-
No website or online presence makes it a bit tricky to check details in advance, so you might need to just turn up and see.

Visited this afternoon.Super front bar as well as an interesting Smoke Room and other interiors.
Very friendly and helpfull staff.I had a super cheese and onion roll with black pudding. The cheese good and strong.Nice regulars and a pleasant atmosphere.Beer and food very reasonably priced. No wonder this is a local institution.Very happy to have visited.
Exemplary experience in this whimsical establishment. Their fine ales were sparkling and bright. Quiet and peaceful pub at my time of visit with a few friendly locals discussing the merits of well brewed ale. Three pints in and I was finding it hard not to order another one. The black country is amazing
Great local pub, brewing it's own ales and offering some fabulous food, cooked by a passionate kitchen team... always guaranteed a warm welcome
On a Black Country pub crawl, this was our first pub of the day and we arrived a little early. Still once inside there was a good choice of ales and the pub itself is far larger and took some investigating. Well worth a second visit.
Lovely traditional pub, really friendly with great beer too. Sadly they don't currently do food on a Sunday evening so we couldn't stay longer
