About This Pub

Ah, the Harrow Inn – it's one of those places that just warms your heart from the get-go. From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, the staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure you're well looked after, which really adds to that homely feel. The food stands out as a highlight; it's all homemade and comes straight from local farms, so you're getting proper, hearty dishes like a mixed grill or apple crumble that's fresh as can be. And let's not forget the beer garden – it's spacious and ideal for families or just kicking back with a drink on a sunny day. On the flip side, though, the menu doesn't have a massive selection, which might leave you wanting more variety if you're in the mood for something different. Plus, with it only being open four days a week, you'll have to plan your visit around that, and its out-of-the-way location means it's not the easiest spot to pop into spontaneously. All in all, if you're after a genuine, down-to-earth pub experience in the countryside, it's well worth seeking out – just go with an open mind and you'll likely have a cracking time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in
  • The food is absolutely spot-on – homemade, fresh, and sourced from local farms, which is a fantastic way to support the community
  • It's got a lovely beer garden with plenty of space for kids to play and enjoy the outdoors, perfect for a relaxed afternoon
  • The atmosphere is warm and cosy, especially in its rural setting, where you can escape the hustle and bustle
Cons
  • The menu is on the smaller side, which means fewer options if you're after something specific, though everything's made fresh
  • It's only open four days a week, so you'll need to check the schedule in advance to avoid disappointment
  • Being out in the middle of fields makes it feel a bit isolated, which might not suit everyone if you're not up for a drive

Did the harrow combo challenge mixed grill and smashed it. the pub In the middle of a load of fields and you feel like your a million miles from anywhere. All food from the surrounding farms. Support local farmers and eat and drink at this great pub. Great beer garden too with play grass with goal posts for the kids

Great atmosphere and staff very friendly and happy to serve you. Didn't eat so can't comment on that, but from what I saw being served and the smell of the food, I will be going back to try it.

We visited yesterday for tea , the menu isn't big but that's a good thing because it's HOMEMADE. The portions are bigger now like they used to be We had chicken Diane with their homemade chunky chips and sauce with vegetables,it was lovely. The biscoff apple crumble was also delicious 😋 They also have a slimming world menu for those who are dieting. Please support small businesses, if you don't use it , you lose it! 🍴🤗

Probably the best pub in my area, the menu is quite small but offers something for everyone. The food is amazing and freshly cooked. The bar/serving staff are wonderful, easy to chat with and have a natter. Lovely big garden which we enjoyed using a few times last year, big enough for kids to run around and overlook the countryside. Only downside is it isn't in walking distance🙂
