About This Pub

Ah, Carters Arms in Liverpool – it's one of those neighbourhood pubs that just feels like a proper spot to unwind. From what I've gathered, the staff are brilliant, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, which really adds to the homely vibe. It's especially good if you're a football fan or just fancy catching up with mates over a well-priced pint – think great value on drinks and a lively atmosphere that caters to the locals. They've sorted out some past niggles, like the mouldy walls, so it's looking fresh and inviting now, and the parking situation is spot on for convenience. On the flip side, if you're driving and skipping the booze, you might raise an eyebrow at the cost of soft drinks; it's a shame that could put a damper on things for non-drinkers. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual night out, with its strengths in hospitality and community spirit shining through, but it's worth keeping those little drawbacks in mind to manage expectations.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and make you feel right at home, with their welcoming and friendly service
  • It's a great spot for locals and football enthusiasts, with a homely atmosphere and affordable drinks like a cracking pint of Guinness
  • Ample parking on site, including options for those with disabilities, which makes it easy to pop in
  • The pub's been nicely decorated recently, turning it into a tidy and presentable place to relax
Cons
  • There were past issues with mouldy walls, which might have put some off, even though it's all sorted now
  • Non-alcoholic drinks can be a bit pricey, like that £4.67 for a Britvic orange, which feels a tad steep

This is a great pub. The customer service is amazing and the host were very welcoming. There is ample parking available on site catered for everyone. There are toilet facilities available too. It is a pub for locals but we were in the area and felt welcome. Football fans would like this because it catered for their needs. Thank you and have a great day 👍

£4.67 for a britvic orange. That's not a way to discourage drink driving or way to treat people that don't drink alcohol
