About This Pub
Ah, the Attleborough Arms – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper community hub in Nuneaton, you know? From what I've gathered, it's got this warm, buzzing atmosphere that's just perfect for catching up with mates over a pint or enjoying some live music. They've really nailed the outdoor space with that pub garden, ideal for soaking up the sun with a cold one in hand. And let's not forget the deals, like 30% off mains, which is a nice touch for keeping things wallet-friendly. It's also great that they welcome dogs, making it feel inclusive for pet owners. On the downside, though, the food can be a bit of a letdown sometimes – I've heard tales of steaks that were more chewy than juicy and chips that lacked that fresh, crispy edge, which is a shame when you're after a solid pub grub fix. Plus, that no-children rule has caught a few out, as it's not splashed across the website, leading to awkward moments for families. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after drinks and a laugh, but you might want to temper expectations on the dining side and check the fine print first. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 4.4, it's clear plenty of folks have had a whale of a time here.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant – it's a cracking spot for a night out with your mates, with live bands and events that really get the good times rolling.
-
They've got a lovely pub garden where you can enjoy your drinks and grub in the sunshine, making it perfect for a relaxed afternoon.
-
The drinks selection is spot on, with all the classic pub favourites, and they've got tempting offers like 30% off mains to keep things affordable.
-
It's dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along, and the staff can be really accommodating when they're on form, as some have mentioned.
Cons
-
Food quality can be a bit hit and miss; there are reports of tough, cold steaks and overcooked sides, which puts a dampener on the meal.
-
The no-children policy isn't clearly signposted, leading to surprises for those who turn up with the family, even if it's meant to be a local spot.
-
Service isn't always up to scratch, with some saying the team seemed uninterested when the place wasn't busy, which can make for a less welcoming vibe.

had a lovely time this evening - turned up later on and Brian was nothing but accommodating, brilliant pub great atmosphere
They asked us to give 5 star reviews for free shots
We booked a table for 7 with a dog (family meal) when we arrived we were told children were not allowed in the pub??? Dogs were though? I had researched the pub as my brother had travelled from Bristol and nowhere on the website states that children are not allowed. We were told the children could sit in the garden till 7pm, it was 6.55pm. I suggest that you make it clear on the website that children are not allowed to prevent this from happening again, and it might be worth removing the children’s menu. Thank you for ruining our evening, I would not recommend this pub to anyone.
Food was poor, very tough and cold steaks, overcooked mushrooms and tasteles, dry chips. We ordered one rare and one medium steak, there was no visible difference between both. The pub wasn't busy, but the staff were not showing any interest. The drinks were better. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for us.
We had a meal first and the booking and table reservation went fine and the bar staff were very accommodating when we asked to change the table. The food was excellent with a good choice. I had the lasagne which was good quality and the service was very good. We then spent the evening there to see a live band and had a great night. The premises were roomy and well presented and the bar staff were very attentive and helpful. The only negative was there were groups of young people who were fighting in the car park and inside the pub so maybe security could be improved (bouncer?) but overall a very positive experience and we will definitely return again and recommend to friends.
